We're currently looking for a National Accounts Specialist to assist with the administrative activities of regional and national foodservice customers.  We're looking for an engaged self-starter interested in career advancement!  The ideal candidate should be a team player and excited to work with customers’ supply chain management, SSA distribution centers and other departments within the SGA Family of Companies. 


  • Receive critical, time sensitive information directly from the customer and successfully implement a course of action
  • Making decisions that are proactive and positively affect service levels and profitability
  • Develop a strong working relationship with all internal departments and distribution centers
  • Pro-active approach and response to troubleshooting customer challenges
  • Management of customer limited time offerings (LTOs) and promotions within SSA’s distribution centers and purchasing while coordinating with the customers’ supply chain management to ensure that each LTO and promotion is successfully completed by SSA
  • Develop a complete understanding of all Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and aspects of each account and contract that you are responsible
  • Monitoring obsolete inventory and alerting the Account Manager and Senior Management of potential issues. Assist in eliminating this product and or disposal per their direction and input
  • Responding to requests for information and communicating directly with key customer contacts to advance the business relationships
  • Ensure monthly customer order guide maintenance is completed
  • Mentoring and development of National Account Coordinators
  • Develop a strong working relationship with all key contacts with your accounts


  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience, one of which should be related experience, is required.  Experience includes customer service, account administration/coordinator experience or professional experience.
  • Foodservice distribution background is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Ability to travel when necessary
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills are essential
  • Intermediate proficiency level in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test.
