    The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be a part of a team that reports to the Finance Manager and works closely National Accounts and Customer Service to support our customers from a credit management and billing perspective. This person will be responsible for handling the accounts receivable and collections for numerous customer accounts.




    • Review of all assigned AR accounts daily.
    • Identify, communicate and act on past due balances and concerning trends.
    • Work with customers to collect on past due balances including bad debt and escalate to management immediately if customer is not responsive to requirements.
    • Apply payments per customer by invoice obligation daily via the following methods: check, ACH, wire and bank deposit.
    • Reconcile invoices and payments efficiently and promptly to ensure same day application to account.
    • Identify significant concerns and risks that need to be escalated to management.
    • Think through and resolve issues independently.
    • Maintain customers’ confidential information in a confidential manner.
    • Clearly define and document Account Receivable processes and procedures as needed.
    • Timely, professional communication with Associates and Customers, including proper grammar on all written communication to customers.
    • Maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout the work day, while working independently, adjusting priorities, and continuously adapting to constantly changing situations based on incoming information.
    • Set up new accounts in the A/R system including (but not limited to): following procedures understanding all related details, and obtaining all information required to ensure set up of new customer accounts is complete.
    • Use MS Office software extensively including performing analyses with Excel including working knowledge of v-lookups, sorting, and filtering.
    • Cooperate effectively with A/R team members to achieve high levels of overall team performance.
    • Other functions as directed by Manager.



    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • 2+ Years of experience in a high-volume Accounts Receivable team preferred
    • Experience handling and communicating with Customers, some of whom may be a bit more difficult to work with due to challenges inherent in the collections process.
    • Working knowledge and understanding of accounting is required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organization skills and proven ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.
    • Must be able to work in a team environment.
    • Proven Track record of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Intermediate + experience with MS Office software with emphasis on Excel.
    • Experience in a work environment that includes being held accountable for results
    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

    • Must have interpersonal skills, good oral/written communication skills
    • Must be able to interact with customers, providing information, respond in courteous manner
